This is based on my friend Monica I think she is very beautiful, and like a lot of people she sometimes judges the way she looks. In thinking about this I chose to break up the face up with different patches of pink to suggest the emphasis society places on women and how they look. Everyone should be skinny and look fantastic right? The patches suggest the length people will go to keep looking youthful, even if it means plastic surgery, implants, or makeup. As a woman I believe accepting who we are and what we look like is an important part of being a confident strong woman. So long story short, that is how this image came about!

She is painted on a 12x12 cradle board with acrylic paint and paint pens.
